Tense and exciting from start to finish is the best way to describe this encounter, Crediton rooted at the bottom of the league all season pushed Argyle all the way and refused to be beaten.

Crediton replied on 40 minutes when their striker closed down the Argyle defence and an attempted clearance rebounded into the Argyle net, this was no more than Crediton deserved setting the game up for a tense second 45 minutes. Crediton managed by ex Exeter City manager John Cornforth found themselves 3.1 down within five minutes of the restart when Steve Williams showed a great turn of pace beating two defenders and forcing a foul from the third inside the area Robbie Miller stepped up to hammer the penalty home. Crediton continued to play with a lot of spirit and really made a game of it when striker Robert Blake scored after a fine double save by Argyles Daniel Malcolm failed to deny him.
