Okehampton Argyle 3-0 Galmpton

Okehampton followed on from last weeks impressive performance with another really dogged display of working hard for each other, Steve Williams was once again on target for Argyle and his strength and pace took him past several defenders on 10 minutes to calmly stroke the ball wide of the Galmpton keeper.
Robert Sandercock back after a few weeks out looked lively on the left flank for Argyle and seemed to be involved in everything in the early exchanges and it was his pass that put Steve Williams in for his brace and Argyles second, with another strong run Steve slotted the ball wide of the keeper.
Galmpton came into the game at the mid point of the first half and rattled the Argyle cross bar, they also forced keeper Daniel Malcolm into making several good saves but Argyles defence of Elliot Collins, Michael Vernon, James Williams and Chris Wills who was playing a wing back roll looked well organised with their no nonsense defending they managed to protect their lead.
Galmpton must have received a roasting at half time because it was them that came out in the second half and took the game to Argyle but Robbie Miller and Phillip Evans soon rose to the challenge in the centre of mid field and managed to break the Galmpton dominance and started once again to take control with Stuart Cann sitting in between the mid field and the defence.
Argyle scored their third and final goal when Evans played in Steve Williams down the right wing and he managed to cross the ball under pressure to Steve Kinsey to slot home from close range, this was just what Argyle needed at this stage of the game and it settled their nerves to go on and take all three points in a well deserved and convincing win.
